Promoting the Blue Badge at the
World Travel Market
November 2003

The Guild of Registered Tourist Guides shared a stand with APTG at the 2003 World Travel Market, an event that brings people in from all over the World. The Guild was there to promote the Blue Badge and to make contact with organisations who might use Blue Badge Tourist Guides in the future. Many names and addresses were collected and these will be contacted and also added to our database for future use. Nearly 100 directories were handed out listing all tourist guides registered with the Guild, which in itself was a good promotional exercise.
It was also the launch platform for the new promotional leaflet, which proved to be very popular with the many visitors who came onto the stand. This is the first of many initatives by the Guild to promote the use of registered tourist guides in this country.
