Southern

The Southern Region covers the counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Eastern Dorset, Northern Dorset, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Isle of Wight
SOUTHERN Blue Badge Tourist Guides are trained and examined in writing and practically - on foot, on site and on coaches - for their particular registration area (the area in which a Guide has been examined).
Southern Blue Badge Guides are qualified to guide throughout the region. The particular registration area of our members can be one of the following: Oxford, Southampton, Winchester or Windsor. Please note that Windsor registered guides are able to guide inside Windsor Castle.
A visit to Southern England is unforgettable and offers so much; from the beauty of the ‘dreaming spires’ of Oxford to the naval ports of Portsmouth and Southampton.
Our Oxford guides arrange a range of walks on various themes from literary figures such as C.S. Lewis to Inspector Morse filming locations. The picturesque limestone villages of the Cotswolds are nearby too.
Hear about the legendary King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table at Winchester which was once our capital city! It still has a beautiful medieval centre with its Cathedral and ancient school. If arriving in England by ship at Southampton why not take a guided tour of our ports and hear about Britain’s maritime history. Portsmouth Historic Dockyard tells the tale of Lord Nelson and his flagship ‘The Victory’. Whatever your interest, you’ll find a place for you in Southern England.
